Stood on the top of a downward sloping path, deafened by the white noise of crunched gravel,
a momentary stillness, bewildered.
The forest gnawed on the sides of a dusty strip of meandering beige, retreating to the turn ahead.
Above however, is an oasis encircled by a delicate entwine of leaves and vines, in which a view of the dripping sun hung right in the centre.
A diluted but warm light seeps through the checkered gaps of the overhead branches,
a flickering mosaic danced between the emerald leaves.
A saturated breeze trickles across the face,
brings the mind to its knees.
An attempt to capture a motionless yet fleeting moment,
surrendering to the sheer beauty of nature.
Stunned by the arrival of the golden hour,
life bled gold of the richest, upon the Midas kiss of the sun.
As fast as it came, the river of gold withdrew down this path.
Between the split second of two steps, I was in genuine awe.
